I applaud your moral and ethical objections, particularly regarding 'that new, faraway workforce'. I'd wager you've seen "Manufactured Landscapes" - an absolutely mind-boggling documentary - its hard to believe how things are happening over there. But I'm afraid in today's world, if you are going to attempt to express your view by only buying 'ethically', you aren't going to be able to buy anything at all!
