Er, I don't know about you, but for me, I don't want a music server at all. And I sure don't want to rip, compress, manage, fix tags, etc. What I want is a music utility that provides the music I want when I want it, at the quality I want. Sometimes, compressed is good enough, other times I want 24/88.2 or better. I'm willing to pay a small monthly fee for this, like I pay for cable TV. With fiber to the home, and other video on demand services, the bandwidth for audio is trivial. The ultimate music server is a jack on the wall. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
