Kolvig, This semms like the same problem I am having. I also have flacs with the cover as folder.jpg (small f in mine) saved into the album folder.
I can see the artwork when I select the actual album in slimserver but I don't see a thumbnail when I "browse by artwork". I'm also hoping someone can come up with a suggestion as to what the problem might be. I'm running slimserver v.6.3.1 on an windows xp box.
