I've used "/" as separator for multiple genres. I found that I *had* to put a space on either side of the "/" in the tag; otherwise SS would treat it as a single genre. (This proved accidentally useful, since I didn't want "Rock/Pop" to be split into two genres!) I'm not sure how many ways it can be done, but if you have TrackStat installed/enabled, then Browse Artist then an album (or All Songs), lists each song with a small "TS" on the right; clicking that takes you to a view where you can set the rating of each song (or for the album as a whole). (I don't use ratings much personally, as I can't guarantee to be consistent across my entire library. Also, my rating for a song literally changes with the weather!
