The SB3 hasn't changed for quite a while but it is a great product. I have three of them and gave another three away to my friends. If a newer SB comes out that is better then I'll buy a few more and put the SB3's in the bathroom, basement or wherever. That being said if I needed another one for one of my 'main' listening areas I wouldn't hesitate to buy the current model. If a newer one comes out that has a feature that you just 'have to have' then you could sell the SB3 on EBay.
