If you're in an apartment/condo/flat/multi-family dwelling, perhaps a
neighbor got a new phone?

Also, the problem isn't with _all_ wireless phones, only 2.4GHz ones,
since they share the same general frequency as WiFi.  Newer 5.8GHz
phones don't cause any interference (unless you're running 802.11a, but
that's a whole different conversation).
