I just went into my Slimserver and find that the default path to search for music is the culprit. In the past I had rerouted this to a folder made up of ripped WAV files. Now that I use compressed Apple Lossless files organized in Itunes I can leave that pathway blank and avoid any future issues. If you will notice I didn't actually "accuse" Slimdevices. I too have been thrilled with their product (for 2 years and a Squeezebox upgrade)and this issue was certainly out of character (though, when a company gets bought out, you never know what direction they will take).
