Right, you want real PA speakers, something like JBL or even ancient Altec Voice of the Theater. They are much, much more efficient than domestic/audiophile speakers, and much more suitable. Unless you are planning Led Zepplin "live" levels, 50 watts is plenty. You can look online at MusiciansFriend.com to see the kinds of offerings.
