I have just encountered the same problem.  
The system was playing fine all day - then just stopped.
Slimserver says it sees the SB.  Network health diagnostics look good.
I can browse the menus and select music playlists etc from my SB.  On
pressing play, SB says it is playing the track - but nothing happens. 
Slimserver also says the track is playing. Just nothing happens.
Have tried reboots and reloading the firmware etc
Frustrating. Any one know what is going on?
