That's your opinion and it's certainly your right to have it. If there was an error in FLAC playback that wouldn't be the end of the world either.... I've chosen MP3 as my format because it is indistinguishable to my ears and I like the portability to my iPod and Car player, but I would rather it not be *further* degraded. The fact is that these are not inexpensive, disposable devices and it's reasonable to assume that the playback of MP3's (which is not some sort of black magic art, unlike the *encoding* of MP3's) is as good as it can be given the hardware constraints. I'm glad to see Logitech taking this seriously, but I'm not surprised. This just further validates my personal decision to trust this company with my in-house music playback so many years ago. By fixing this, they will demonstrate yet again that they are not your typical consumer electronics comporation. I do find it slightly humorous that my two old SliMP3's *may* have more accurate MP3 playback support than my SB2 and my SB3.
