Pat, If I knew enough to "flash" a router I would know enough to get my current gear working. Which, actually, it has been for the last few hours. Who knows what will happen when I turn it on in the morning.
You say the combo boxes give you more control but control in my hands would be dangerous. Remember, I only want run net radio and occasionally a laptop (wireless or wired) to the router. Wouldn't a combo box be more than adequate? I am trying to get simpler and it seems to me you are pointing in the other direction although it may be simple for you. If I have to buy the "L" model Linksys I am already most of the way to the ATT 2Wire combo box.
