There are a few of us here who have been through what you're experiencing...here are a few tips. 1. A laptop will happily run on the same weak signal a squeezebox will not...your squeezebox requires more bandwidth to keep its buffers full to keep music playing. 2. While weak signals from other networks seem weak they can be enough to throw a virtual spanner in the works. Try changing channels on your wireless router to the upper or lower bounds of what's available, to see if that helps. 3. Is your server which runs Slimserver using DHCP to acquire a network address? If laptops jump on the network before your server sometimes this can cause problems....I have ny Slimserver PC using a fixed address....not sure if this is relevant.... 4. If you get a blank screen and simply go through the 'set up networking' menu again, is all OK? Resetting every piece of hardware in your setup is a bit extreme, and it is likely to be only one of the pieces of kit which is guilty.
