OK, your server certainly seems powerful enough to handle that. You should at least try ethernet just to see if the problem is wireless. The SB1 only has 802.11b and streaming 1.4mbps over that is pushing the limits. The max you can expect from 802.11b is around 4mbps I think.
How many items do you have in the playlist when you have the stuttering during refresh?
