Apologies if this is a dumb question - but I am a real noobie!! I have my squeezbox sitting in the kitchen which is connected via cat5 to a hub / ethernet and then this is then connected to my pc (which has my slimserver). My PC is connected to the internet.
Have the SB working perfectly with regard to playing from the pc. However the problems arrive when I try and start internet related activities - eg updates, RSS feeds, internet stations etc. The SB says that it failed to parse and failed to connect. I have an IP address of 192.168.0.1 set as my pc and 192.168.0.6 as the SB. I have been reading up about this - and I think it may be to do with the DNS and Gateway address. They are set as 0.0.0.0 on the SB. Is this the problem? If so - what should I set these to? Would appreciate any help that you can offer.
