Just to clearify things up because I think there is a miss understanding here. ACC does not have a external browser requirement. It generates plain text files which happen to have the .html extension. It can be opened with IE or Firefox (as this was fixed in the last version).
It also creates a .MHT file which is a archive file of IE only for usefullness but not required since the .HTML files have the same content (but can't be distributed). It just opens IE, for the user convinience, to display the generated output file and because IE is installed default on Windows this was hardcoded.
