Shatzy, It worked through the USB only. I suspect that there may be an issue wither with the drive mapping (as discussed with Frank above) or the speed at which the data can be recovered from the NAS, not sure. My network is all 100M so quick enough although using a USB2 HD was significantly faster for a scan by SS.
