I have a playlist with roughly 3000 items in it. I am getting very tired of the very lengthy delay every time I try to load the playlist (I have song shuffle mode enabled).
I notice that Random Mix is very fast, but it only allows you to select by genre, or mix everything in your music folder. What I really want is that sort of rapid behavior, when shuffling a playlist. Just pull out a random 10 at a time. I investigated some plug-ins, such as the Dynamic Playlist and SQL Playlist functionality, but these plug-ins seem to be geared around mimicking the Random Mix functionality, i.e., mixing by genre. Can anyone tell me how to get "Random Mix" style behavior for a *playlist*?
