Maybe. But it doesn't matter: the whole discussion is a joke :-).

I just find it interesting to see how Anglophiles can care about their  
language, while we get spoilt with anglicisms. Worst of all some of them  
find their way into our language in a completely false way. Take eg. the  
Saxon genetiv (is this what you call it?) "'s". It's used in any place now  
where you would put a single S: plurals, verbs ending in an s etc. It's so  
stupid I found myself using it too :-/. I remember my German teacher  
giving me a lesson after I had used it in a genetive (where it would have  
been correct at least in English). Ever since I try to avoid it. And this  
must have been almost... gee, I'm getting old.

AFAIK only the French try to fight back by law, forcing any English  
slogan, ad, phrase or whatever to be translated. Which on the other hand  
sometimes looks odd. "Computer" seems so globally accepted, I was very  
much surprised I had to learn "ordinateur" in French.
