I just remembered something - a couple of years ago at Digital Life Slimdevices were demonstrating the SB3 with what I'm guessing were an early prototype of the A2 (or maybe an aborted A1?). They were tiny and powered IIRC, but design wise just like the A2. Alas they weren't loud enough to compete with the din in the hall so I have no idea how they sounded.
