Are you famililar with the genre filtering option? In 7.0 it's under Settings > Music Library. With it set, when browsign by genre (which has a hierarchy of genre then artist) you can filter out albums and tracks that don't match the genre. You could do the same thing with years if you like. For sorting purposes, unless you let an album appear more than once in an album list, you don't have much choice but to "pick one" of the genres or years for the album. Like I said, the scanning/datbase has already done that for years. For genres you could just choose the first one aphabetically, which would be as good a choice as any other. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42308 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
