I've finally managed to get a fully-working install of slimerver with alienbbc and aac->mp3 transcoding for my Slimp3 working on an ubuntu box. This was pretty much entirely due to the stuff in this forum and on the wiki since I had absolutely no idea about linux before I started the project.
So, thanks to everyone who has asked and answered questions on the forum since I found everything I needed on here without having to ask my own questions.
