Thanks for the details. I believe the SB is working fine b/c when I installed Slimserver on my PC laptop, it immediately appeared on the list of available IP addresses.
When I spoke with the guys at the local Apple store, they told me it's likely that there is something in Leopard preventing the iMac from accepting the incoming request to connect from the SB. I have not lugged the iMac to the Genius Desk at the store yet, but may have to.
