It IS about the music but a nice picture or two is always welcome. > Just two more clicks and you have the whole album list (track details - > album). What I'm thinking of would require less work on the user side of things. > Don't get me wrong, I think most what you want would be a very welcome > enhancement. > I don't think this will become reality in the near or not so near > future. It's really not that silly of an idea - simply replace the cover art with liner notes or something else. It still seems that I'm not getting my point across or rather that my "point" keeps on evolving just as this thread keeps on evolving. There are two sides to the music server concept - the hardware (and it's operating software) and the digital music files. I suppose that it's really not up to Slim Devices provide all the meta-data that a good music server system should be able to use but rather up to the digital music provider or ripper. It just that the whole concept of meta-data and how to work with it is still evolving and I don't believe that a tiny little display of "cover" art should be the be-all and end-all of meta-data. With that in mind I'm just trying to open up the discussion up to some other areas where meta-data might be of use. -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43750 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
