A common problem I'm afraid. A search of the forum would probably turn up a few related threads. This will undoubtably be a tag issue. iTunes is a bit sneaky and adds its own tags - particularly inserting Disc number tags on compilation albums. I would recommend examining the tags carefully in a program such as MP3Tag - and delete all itunes comments, and disc number (unless you want that!) Also ensure you don't have multiple versions of ID3 tags. Once you are sure you have clean tags then do a rescan of the library. Of course if you must use itunes as your library manager you may have to stop it re-writting the tags.
