As your library grows it is vitally important to have a single tagging format. If you download much music you'll find a variety of tagging.
Are you using cover art? As a separate filed cover.jpg or is it embedded? If you have BOTH of these then you can end up with duplicate entries. I use MP3tag to tag my files. When I first started I have thousands of files to fix. Eventually, I cleaned it up and everything shows up like it should.
