I see now! If I press Favorite and then the number buttons in beta SN this works as you state. However if I press and hold a numeric button [again in beta SN] it says Favorite #X NOT DEFINED. How do you define it?
My primary reason is for wanting to program a universal remote so I can program a press of number 2 for example to play a particular favorite. I think the way most people instinctively use remotes is they get very quick and want to do it without having to look at the squeezebox display.
