Certainly setting up the SBR would be hard if you're blind, not so much because of the button pressing but because the initial setup is via the screen on the SBC. Once setup is possible via a PC and control can be via SC7 (and thus a screen reader) that should be better.
As for color blind folks, I don't think it should be much of a problem. The only flashing modes are red (slow/fast) and white. There is a green stage for a few seconds during setup, but to be honest I don't think you'd suffer by not seeing it, it's purely informational.
