I just discovered the scanner.log file on one of the settings tabs and viewed the contents.
I think I'm going to have to admit to being both wrong and right. Right in that a directory scan took about 2 seconds (if the stats are to be believed) and wrong in that perhaps there is something I am doing wrong or have wrong with my system. Still, since the log lists some playlist errors and MPEG Audio Frame Broken/Bitshift errors. Although, to be fair, the error messages are logged with time they occured and they seem to post in relatively quick succession. And after I thought the scan was complete the various artist merges and artwork scans started and seemed to take really long. Is there a list around to the effect of, before scanning, delete all playlists which are no longer valid and do xy and z to clean up your drive b4 scanning? The plot thickens. Thx and goodnight. -- Sona ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sona's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10815 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33041 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
