I have now moved the Apple Airport Express to sit beside the receiver. Still stutters. I have also turned off the cordless phone next to the receiver. Finally I have tried connecting the receiver to the Airport using an ethernet cable but all of this doesn't stop the stuttering. i am still confused as to why the internet radio works but the music library doesn't..
