I'd like to clear up a few points. First I am not a "self-proclaimed audio reviewer", any more than I am a self-proclaimed man or human-being. I have no vested interest in hearing any difference. None of us at TNT are paid, and I would not accept a job as a paid reviewer due to the obvious compromises that would entail. And I'm not reviewing PC's, or music servers of any other kind, or promoting them, or likely to receive any advantage of any kind in doing so. Second, I have not said that using a separate PC is the reason for the difference that I heard here. I asked if it could be a reason. Please see the title of the thread that I hoped I had made quite clear even if I forgot the question mark at the end. OK, "night and day" may not have been the correct phrase but I wanted to express that I was hearing a real difference inasmuch as I liked one and not the other. ie it wasn't a nuance thing, or a psychoacoustic affect. While you are checking English language definitions, you may care top look up 'pedantic' as well! ;-) Who are you to say that "there is nothing to investigate here"? Did you pop in late one night while I was sleeping and listen to my system through both PCs? And why so aggressive. Have we ever met? I don't recall that we have so I can only wish you well in coming to terms with whatever it is that makes you so confrontational! -- Nuuk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nuuk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4844 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48430 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
