I'm not one of them, so I forget the details, but I think it's as simple as selecting the offending track in a playlist and hitting the "+" key. A big limitation is that the offending track has to be *in* the playlist. If you happen to spot the erroneous tags when browsing tracks you would need to add the track to the playlist and then zap it, which is just as cumbersome as what you've described.
