Hi all,

I have an extensive MP3 library (about 27,000 tracks) which is
organized with iTunes. I have recently acquired a QNAP TS-101,
installed SC7, and moved the library there. The problem is that SC7
only includes about 19,000 of the tracks in its own library, even
though SC7 does see all 27,000 tracks.

I'm not sure whether this is purely due to SC7 or due to some
interaction with the specific hardware. But there was no response in
the "Third Party Hardware" forum, so I'm trying here. I've seen some
references to tags being the problem, but even if that's the case, I
don't know how to fix the problem.

There seems to be a correlation between missed tracks and having
"international" characters in the filenames or tags, but this is not a
1-to-1 correlation.

Here are the details.

There are samples from the iTunes XML file, the scanner.log file and
the corresponding directory content in the posting over in the hardware
forum, if that's helpful. I won't copy the files here, but they're at
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49775.

Many thanks for any help,
Soren
