I'm yet another (almost) 20 years IT experience person to post in this thread. Many people are suggesting raid as a good way to go and I don't disagree with them at all - raid is a good option. However, in my home setup, where I'm in the fortunate position of having several machines (I guess that's not that uncommon these days), I just run a scheduled nightly copy using Windows own robocopy software to another drive on a separate machine. The initial copy takes a while if you have a big collection, but with the right command line switches in place, subsequent copies only update changed files, keeping the 2 drives in sync in a matter of a few moments. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14628 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50299 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
