I run SC with several plugins on a basic consumer NAS with 128MB RAM, feeding up to 5 SBs. I have set up a similar NAS for a friend. Before I got the NAS I was running SS on a vintage desktop with 256MB. All run Linux that boot to text mode only. Scanning and the SC web ui are slow but usable, but control via the Duet Controller or IR remote is plenty snappy.
