In case you have not seen this, Kurt Schwehr taught a course in 2011 at the
University of New Hampshire called “Research Tools”. I was not a student
there but his notes, videos, data, etc. are *so* extensive that I ended up
“taking” the course for fun a year later. He covers lots of SWC related
material (Python with IPython, version control with Mercurial, bash, etc.).
