I think we're at the bottom of this particular rabbit hole, but I'll
do that next time. I think it's useful to occasionally pull this sort

useful commit messages and continuity in version control history.
I understand that, but most people on this list would rather not have
that level of detail in their inbox. Let's move it to a GitHub issue.
