This seems like more than a symbolic change, since lots of folks are current in “Developers” [1] where they have *write* access to a large number of repositories [2]. I'm not a big fan of shared-write access in general (I like [3] with explicit maintainers), so I'm fine with the change, but Greg seems to prefer the “open write-access” approach [4,5].
