This is a really useful discussion - can we please move the thread to
https://github.com/swcarpentry/shell-novice/issues/194 (the issue for
discussing changes to the shell lesson for the next release)? I've added
links to the most recent posts from the discussion list, and suggestions
in the GitHub issue about what changes to make to reflect instructors'
experience and make the lesson more useful would be very welcome.
