Hi all,
I think hypothes.is is a great tool for commentary from the general
public, and I think it would be great to experiment with it. I also
agree with Tom that some way to embed instructors' nodes in the lesson
source itself would be useful - having peer-reviewed guidance in a
separate file, removed from the lesson, hasn't been working very well.
It would be easy to add another kind of blockquote box for notes; the
question is how you'd like that displayed in the page - I'm guessing
some sort of icon which, when clicked, would produce a pop-up or some
sort of accordion box, but that's just a guess...
Rather than cluttering up this list, please add your thoughts to
https://github.com/swcarpentry/lesson-example/issues/27 and I'll
summarize in a few days. Please also note that if you'd like to preview
the new look and feel of our lessons, you can either grab the
'new-style' branch of that repository, or have a look in
http://gvwilson.github.io/new-lesson-example/. We still have a few
loose ends to tidy up (esp. handling R Markdown), but it's coming
together well.
Thanks,
Greg
