Thanks Lex, this is definitely relevant!

If someone was interested in co-authoring a paper, and could present at the
meeting, we would be happy to work with them, so please let us know if
you're interested. Although, the time line would be a little tight here, so
we'd have to check with the organizers.

We have a paper on 'why workshops' (
http://ijdc.net/index.php/ijdc/article/view/10.1.135), but haven't focused
on curriculum in particular for Software or Data Carpentry, so that would
be a potentially good topic. Other topics could be on our teaching methods,
such as live coding and sticky notes that allow for immediate feedback for
learners.

In general, we definitely encourage instructors to present on Software and
Data Carpentry, either about the organizations or your experience with
them. We're happy to help and provide feedback on abstracts, talks or
posters. Conferences are a great opportunity to talk with people about
Software and Data Carpentry, and it's a good experience, because people are
usually interested to learn more and excited about the work the community
is doing. It's also a great way to meet new people and demonstrate your
involvement in data and software training. So, please let us know if you're
aware of or interested in conference opportunities!

Best,
-Tracy
