I really like this summary of what JOSE is accepting for open source
educational materials:

"tl;dr: your course or lesson content must contain or use code to
teach. We are not focused exclusively on learning to code, but coding
to learn."

Kudos to Lorena and the rest of the editorial board, and the Open
Journals team for getting this setup - hope it gets lots of
contributions!
