Data Carpentry Genomics Bug BBQ is today and tomorrow! Work on lessons
teaching essential genomics data skills.

The Data Carpentry Genomics lessons are the modules of a 2 or 3 day
workshop teaching the foundational skills for working effectively with
genomics data. The focus of this workshop is working with genomics data,
and data management & analysis for genomics research. They cover metadata
organization in spreadsheets, data organization, connecting to and using
cloud computing, the command line for sequence quality control and
bioinformatics workflows, and R for data analysis and visualization. They
don’t focus on any particular bioinformatics tools, but the foundational
skills that allow you to conduct any analysis.

The Bug BBQs are a great opportunity to work with the community thinking
about these topics, learn more about working in GitHub (plenty of people to
help!) and contribute to lesson development.

We know you've seen a lot of different Issue Bonanza's and Bug BBQs lately.
Those have been schedule for first lesson releases. Future Issue Bonanza's
and Bug BBQs are going to be coordinated across all the lessons - SWC and
DC - so even if you can't make this one, there will be some great
opportunities coming up with the next scheduled release for all the
lessons.

Best,
-Tracy
