Not that official. ☺

We don’t offer certificates, I just meant, how far can you deviate from the
“these certain topics in two days” and still call it an official Carpentries
workshops. If you still cover all the topics but you do it over 4 weeks, does
it count? How about if you do it over 4 months? Can you label that series as an
official Carpentries workshop and use the logos, etc? (assuming you meet the
other requirements on certified instructors, reporting attendance, filling out
the surveys, etc)

My recollection is that Justin, Shawn, and Ben were able to offer the
certificates for everyone who attended all the meetings, so *that* is possible.
(Is that the kind of official designation you're thinking about?)

Yes, we are thinking of this now, as it will make it much easier for us to find

One question I have is whether this still qualifies as an official workshop if
you split it up??

Subject: [Discuss] Extended workshop - 7 weeks instead of two days

Have you ever considered running a workshop over a number of weeks rather than
compressing it all into two days? There is an interesting post just out about
running a @datacarpentry #ecology workshop over seven weeks instead of two days
at the University of Florida.

Authors: Justin Millar, Shawn Taylor, Ben Kok Toh, and Ethan White.
