Lots of good stuff has been said here, and I'm not going to repeat any of their guidance. The one thing I'll say is that I would want a person to be involved in specifying and designing that system who really knows what they're doing. In my case, the brother of my father-in-law happens to be an architect who specializes in security door systems at jails and other penal facilities around the country. In fact, my understanding is that he's a leading expert in this field. That's the kind of guy I'd want to design the system that would be used. I'll be glad to provide his contact details if you want, but I don't want you to feel like I'm pressing you to use his services. I just want you to get the right system for you and the needs of your company, and whether or not you ever even bother to respond to this message, I think it's important for you to make sure that the person or group you work with know what they're talking about and they're not just a reseller for a vendor trying to push their latest product. -- Brad Knowles <[email protected]> If you like Jazz/R&B guitar, check out LinkedIn Profile: my friend bigsbytracks on YouTube at <http://tinyurl.com/y8kpxu> http://preview.tinyurl.com/bigsbytracks _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
