Oops!  That's right, it was a typo.  THanks for catching it!  I also
will NOT move to 8.0 if I can at all help it, since I *know* there
will be major bugs when they do release it.

The bug I ran into was supposedly fixed in 7.2.5.1 and earlier!
Support was quite surprised to see that I had run into this issue.
Again, I think it dovetails into how Netapp has expanded their
software stack in a bunch of different ways and it's become less
stable.  The early 7.0 and 7.2 series really were not very good.

I suspect that 7.2.5.1 or 7.2.6.1 should be just fine for you.
