At my last $job which eventually reached the state of closing up shop, we
eventually got down to just me and the network guy running everything. I
gave him full sudo on all the servers and made sure he knew enough about
unix to fix minor things in an emergency. We had an understanding that he
was to make no changes without first talking to me if possible. Similarly I
had the enable password to all the network devices but didn't touch anything
without his blessing or emergency. Eventually he was gone and I was running
everything by myself and was glad that we had done cross-training and
documentation, it made things easier to handle when I didn't have to figure
out everything on the fly.
