Justin, A rather typical response that is, of course, uninformed and for the most part, incorrect. The MacOS is not incompatible with most business world applications.
1. The Microsoft Suite of apps, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are all available on the Mac. 2. Adobe Creative Suite is available on the Mac. 3. Quark Express used by many publishers and newspapers is available on the mac. 4. Movie editing software is preferred on Macs. As many others have mentioned, translation is possible when necessary although most of the apps that are available on both platforms are interchangeable for the most part. That is, you can use the created files on a Mac or Windows machine. Apple does have some apps of their own that that will open and save in formats such as Word and PowerPoint. The biggest drawback you'll have at this point is the accessibility of some apps through VoiceOver. As many people have already suggested, there are work arounds for some and probably even more VO compatible apps coming in the near future. Just my two cents worth. Good luck. Later...
