Good evening Vickie. Thanks for the info. I would like to be able to use the
feature for exporting directly to an application. Have you ever tried this
at all. I am wondering how to get around the busy problem. Thanks.

you could tell it to scan and save to the clipboard then manually tell
text edit to paste the clipboard to a blank page then read it. Or you can
write a script to automatically paste it to the text edit but this is more
