You can get real player w/o signing up for the pass account, it's
just a pain, and ya gotta jump through hoops. It's easier to just
sign up, and pick a non-paying option. Try real hard not to pick a
free that converts to paying. I did this, and although I didn't
mind, (since I wanted to try it out anyhow) Their server was
conveniniently unreachhable the day before I was due to switch to
pay, so it refused to allow me to cancel the account <shrug>
I might still have the original archive here somewhere, I'll look,
and pass it along if I do. Barring that, I'll hunt down the direct
url on their server, and pass that along instead.
