I don't think selfupdate has anything to do wtih it. I came down here
before everyone else got up and check and its still trying to pull
down the wget program and I also noticed its having trouble pulling
down another file that is a part of the entire abcde package. I did
go to the ftp site manually and I was able to get the package, but
have no idea how to tell port to use the local package. I guess in
order to figure this out, I'll have to get into the guts of port and
understand how its connecting to the ftp sites. A rather odd problem
indeed, but it did work fine when I grabbed nano as an experiment.
